La toile est posée sur le sol.
Yun à l'aide d'un grand pinceau plat étale la peinture en marchant le long de la toile tel un jardinier qui ratisse une plate-bande.
L'image d'un paysan asiatique ratissant une rizière serait plus appropriée car la peinture est à ce moment là encore liquide et reflète la lumière comme l'eau.
Le geste est rectiligne afin que le pinceau plat soit employé dans son plus simple usage qui est de débiter, de tracer des bandes de peinture parallèles.
Les courbes ou autres ornements artistiques ne feraient que perdre de l'efficacité et du temps et constitueraient une déviation au propos de Yun qui se veut rester primordial, fruste.
C'est déjà une question de morale.
D'ailleurs, pour renforcer le côté production, les portions de toile que Yun a décidées de peindre, sont délimitées par des bandes adhésives appliquées directement sur la toile.
Il lui est donc aisé de "tirer" la peinture avec précision, sans états d'âme et surtout sans mystification.
C'est encore une question de morale.
La toile étant peinte, les bandes adhésives sont enlevées. La peinture qui a réussi à s'infiltrer dessous, en raison de la capillarité et des reliefs de la toile de lin brute, éclate en frisottis.
Ces petits accidents en bordure constituent, comme le dit Yun, sa "peinture automatique" évoquant l'écriture automatique chère aux surréalistes. Ils sont nés du travail des éléments physiques hors du contrôle de l'artiste mais déclenchés par lui. Ils parlent de l'immanence de la nature que Yun accueille sereinement dans son œuvre.
C'est toujours une question de morale.
La toile est donc là, peinte.
On peut la regarder, passer du temps en face d'elle, l'examiner, la soumettre à des interrogations.
Dégageant une impression de force et de tranquillité, elle affirme que tout chez elle est le résultat de l'action d'un homme qui a fait de sa méthode de travail une morale de pensée ou une morale pour penser.
Ce moteur, cette quête continuelle mettent Yun dans la situation de pouvoir répéter sans se lasser l'exercice de la peinture et d'entreprendre avec vivacité toute nouvelle œuvre.
L'authentique rigueur intellectuelle et le vocabulaire formel concret sont deux réalités sur lesquelles s'appuie le travail de Yun. Or, nous le savons bien : seul le vrai permet l'éclosion du beau.
